Young Moderns

Young Moderns is a power pop band based in San Francisco California. Since 2007 the six members have been putting together well crafted and energetic pop songs while steadily performing in bars and clubs around the bay area.

Their upbeat and rocking pop sound is derived from a healthy dose of clever and mildly sardonic lyrics, along with well crafted hooks, crunchy guitars, pulsing bass riffs, screaming organs, melodic synths, set to a host of driving rock 'n roll beats. Their music has been been described as a cross between Canadian power pop band the New Pornographers and great post punk bands Blondie and Elvis Costello and the Attractions.



In 2008 the band hopes to release their self produced first album, New Mission Renaissance. In between performances the band is in the studio working on a follow up which they hope to release early this fall.
